The HelloWorld Homestay app

HelloWorld Homestay is the official mobile app of HelloWorld Siargao Homestay, the family-run guesthouse in Barangay Salvacion, Pilar, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. We built it ourselves and we publish it ourselves. It is the same booking service as this website, on a phone.

Who publishes it

The app is published under two developer accounts, both held by Johan Larsson, co-owner of HelloWorld Siargao Homestay: the App Store listing is published by Johan Larsson personally, and the Google Play listing by Scriptdrift (Scriptdrift Software Consulting AB), the developer account he owns. The same party owns and operates this website and the helloworldhomestay.com domain the app connects to. Neither store name is the property's own name because the property is a family business without a separate software company of its own, not because a third party publishes on our behalf.

There is no other official HelloWorld Siargao Homestay app. If you come across one, please tell us at the address above.

What it does

Check availability, request a stay, message your host about a booking, and get a push notification when the host replies or your booking changes. Your account and your bookings are the same ones the website uses - signing in on either shows the same trips.

Your data

The app collects nothing the website does not; both are covered by the same privacy policy, which also explains how to delete your account from inside the app.
